…to forge a swimmable path through the snow…

Shaky oven of the earth will make you feel silent and invisible forever.
At the end of the day all the furniture will slowly but surely turn into sand where footprints will be left in the noiseless pit.
As Sun’s signals bring temporary rainstorms, the vast expanse of love will vanish on the skins of the birds in flight.
People gather for rehearsal to understand the way of the paper continent.
In the beginning, the ones who dived into things that they shouldn’t know have been banished from grass invention.
Only the fool will try to forge a swimmable path through the snow, just to reach the superfluous truth.
– text written by Priska Pia Pristaš, Timon Pristaš and Franka Ramušćak
The performance/installation is based on a text developed through a children’s wordplay, inspired by a note from Walter Benjamin. In this game, words do not form ordinary sentences but instead create unexpected connections, resembling “caverns with the strangest corridors.” Free from established linguistic rules, children discover new promises of meaning and imagery, while even the simplest constructions take on the rhythm of play and exploration, building upon gestures of togetherness and the shaping of collective imaginaries. Composer Sara Glojnarić has radicalized the recorded texts—voiced by all performers—by slowing them down, uncovering rhythmic and melodic structures that permeate the entire performance apparatus.
